I’m exhausted!

That’s basically my full feelings right now 🙂 I’m so glad Chantale and I enjoyed our time up north this past weekend because work has been back in the grind since I got back. The weekend spent at Lac. St. Jean in Metabetchouan was heavenly. We stayed with her grandparents and basically lounged around for 4 days, visiting with relatives and just taking it easy. We could have easily stayed there another week. One day, we will…

I had brought my laptop along and set up the digital pictures she had taken into a slideshow for easier viewing for everyone. 200 digital pictures. Plus another 200 actual photographs. I can’t tell you how many times I saw them, but they always continued to fascinate me. I can’t wait to go and visit NZ with her. Got something else to look forward to now 🙂

When we got back home late Monday night, I mailed out the latest newsletter for church and after unpacking we hit the sack (preceeded, of course, by a couple of episodes of Mad About You 🙂 ). At work, it’s been GO-GO-GO the entire time. Even as I manage to get 2 or 3 piles of paper removed from my desk, another 4 or 5 arrives. Ouch.

Chantale’s taking this week to continue relaxing at home, recovering from a bug she picked up at the Lac, and continuing with our Wedding Preparations. Can you believe that in 6 months we’re getting married?!! Wow! 🙂 She starts working at Scotia Bank in Westmount on Monday (the 17th) and it being RRSP season she’ll be quite busy. So it’s good that she takes it easy this week.

Personally, I’m still working on my LOMA 290 course and have Comicopia deadline to deal with next weekend. Chantale’s birthday is at the end of the month and Melyssa’s is a couple of days later. Then comes March break and I’m taking 3 days off that week to spend with the kids. I’ve finished updating my latest project with the church (a Member directory database) and now just have to install it and teach it to the volunteer secretaries. Speaking of church, the first weekend of March, I’ll actually be helping with communion! I’ll be the one who’ll be handing out the wine and reading the prayer of the day. Chantale and I have ushered at church before, but this is the first time I’ll be doing something this “special” / “religious”. Kinda cool 🙂

Well, I just got off the phone with Chantale. I’m hoping to be able to leave within the hour. It’s really cold and windy out there today but we do have an appointment to keep tonight – going back to The Bay to finish up our Registry there 🙂

You know, what with the state of the world and things around us, we’ve realized something truly important. We are very fortunate to have the relationship we do. That’s a very heart-warming realization 🙂

What’s the Time? Hey Mickey! – Bow Wow Wow

But seriously… where’s the time gone and going to?! I blink and it’s now Thursday? Afternoon?? Wow. On one hand it’s great that the work days are just flying by. On the other hand it’s not so great that my evenings are flying by, too! 🙂

I finally had a decent night’s sleep last night. For some reason my sleep cycle was all messed up the last couple of days. I guess the realization that Chantale and I are heading out of town tonight seeped through to my subconcious and helped me relax 🙂 Well, either that or the fact that Chantale held me last night and helped me fall asleep. Physical contact is a really nice thing 🙂

Outside of Wedding Plans, not much else on my mind! Plenty of work deadlines, plenty of personal deadlines, and a lot of daydreaming (when not working of course) about not working! 🙂 It seems like I have more things I want to do than there are months in the calendar year! 🙂

And right now I’m massively craving chocolate!!!! argh!!!

Ah well. One day at a time….

Time Passes…

Chantale and I just spent almost 2 hours poring over 10 rolls of film from her trip!!! Wowow! 🙂 If she would have remembered ALL the stories, I’m sure we’d still be there when the sun came up in the morning 🙂

Have I mentioned that she is the foxiest lady around? 🙂 Hot damn but I’m a lucky man! 🙂 I would scan it to show it here, but then I wouldn’t want anyone else drooling over the picture! That’s for me! 🙂

I took her to see Chicago tonight. Tres cool. It was an interesting blend of music, madness, and mayhem, I must admit. An enjoyable sortie after some great pizza! Mmmmm… pizza… 🙂

Outside of that, I’ve been way too busy at work to even take lunch much less check up on anything electronically. And outside of work, Chantale and I are quite busy with the wedding preparations. Lots of calls to make, lots of meetings. But also lots of excitement 🙂 It’s gonna be wonderful! Great! Spectacular! But, most importantly: Intimate and Classy. Black tie affair, ballgowns, champagne, and five-star cuisine 🙂 Best of all, we’re keeping the numbers low which will make for a much more intimate and “cozy” reception.

And now, we’re off to fool around 🙂 ciao! 🙂

Changes, Busy, and Stuff

Hiya hiya!

Well, there’s going to be some changes at work which means I may no longer be able to access LJ during the day. This, of course, will reflect not just on my posting, but on my reading/ replyings. That bites somewhat as LJ does help me to get my mind off of stuff and allows me to go back to it in a fresher state of mind. (shrug). Nothing I can do about that, I guess. We’ll see what happens in the next couple of days.

Secondly… busy! busy busy busy!! I can’t believe how I came in to work and just got into trying to clear stuff off my desk. When I looked up, it was 1:30pm. I’m still rushing but HAD to take a quick break if even just to eat a fruit. phew. And it’ll stay this way for a long time to come, I believe. Especially as I have a short week this week. I’m taking Friday off so that Chantale and I can drive up to Lac. St. Jean and visit her grandparents. I love going there and it’ll be wonderful to get away.

Thirdly… have I mentioned I had an absolutely wonderful and amazing weekend? We did! The kids, Chantale, and I just spent a weekend of FUN. The kids RAN into her arms on Friday when we went to pick them up at school. In fact, they were berated a little for running in the hallways but we did tell the monitors that they hadn’t seen each other in a month 🙂 That night flew by and the kids just were so happy and excited to see Chantale. She brought James a small Kangaroo (he now calls Jackie Legs) and Melyssa a Koala beanie (she now calls Samantha). They were carried around EVERYWHERE!! 🙂 The weekend was spent with TONS of kisses from the kids for both Chantale and I (but I do believe she got the majority of them 🙂 ). Saturday night, during Family Movie Night, Melyssa fell asleep in Chantale’s arms. It was the most adorable sight 🙂 Sunday, we all went to church after not having been there in a while and we kept getting compliments on how well-behaved the kids were. It was really nice 🙂

As I said, the entire time spent with them was fun and filled with love and laughter. Chantale was even asked to speak with all the Beavers during our meeting on Saturday and she told them all about her trip 🙂 The only sad point of the weekend was having Melyssa call us on Sunday night crying that she wanted to be picked up from her mother’s. She apparently “packed her bags” and wanted to move in with us. Poor little thing was so sad but she didn’t really know or understand why. She kept crying on the phone that she hadn’t seen Chantale in so long and just missed us so much 🙂 We spoke about 20 minutes and calmed her down with promises that the time will pass quickly and we’ll see each other again VERY soon.

More stuff… Chantale and I went to the Wedding Show at the Gallant Country Inn on Saturday. Her parents came with us and we spent a few hours reviewing all they are offering us as well as confirming our meal, dessert, cake, etc. We had a mini-wine-tasting to choose our wine and that was fun, too. We confirmed who had booked rooms at the Inn and spoke with our Musicians and just ensured we were on the right track. It was a lot of fun and everyone’s excited. It’s gonna be a glorious wedding 🙂

And now, my break is over. I’ve gotta get back and sludge through my work load. Totally missed lunch and don’t think I’ll be able to take a coffee break, either! Oh boy! 🙂 But I can’t complain too much. After all, I agreed to the position so I have to accept the responsabilities that come with it, right? 🙂

Still Kickin’

Obviously Chantale’s back in town, which explains my absence 🙂 Picked her up from the airport on Thursday night and haven’t left each other’s sight since 🙂 Up till 4am that night, stayed in bed till 130pm, up till 4am again last night, but up early today for the various stuff we had to do 🙂

Our reunion was beautiful and the kids reunion with her was also beautiful to behold 🙂

Went to the Gallant Inn today for their annual open door/ wedding show and re-confirmed our meals, wine, etc :>

Life is wonderful, my friends 🙂

OS Quiz

Ok, ok. I avoided doing this all day and yet caved in tonight. Bah. Must need chocolate. But it’s quite funny that this particular flavor of OS happened to come up for me 🙂

Entertainment News

I forgot to mention some rather exciting news. My Acting partner and I worked out the details with Actra today in regards to their upcoming Film Festival. We’re submitting my Bus Stop script for project approval from the Actra Regional Director. Application deadline is February 1st with a completed product to be delivered to Actra by June 1st. If we’re chosen, they’ll sponsor us by providing the funds for the filming of the short to be presented at the Actra Film Festival this summer.

With the details out of the way, I wrote up the description and synopsis tonight and sent them off. He’ll fill out the forms and bring the application along with the script to the Actra offices tomorrow and then the waiting will begin! 🙂

In other entertainment news: Actors David Thewlis (TIMELINE) and comedian Jim Tavare have been cast in the upcoming HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN. Tavare will play Tom, the innkeeper at The Leaky Cauldron. Thewlis will play Professor Lupin, a man who harbors a secret that Harry and Co. must discover. Production begins this spring on AZKABAN. Tuff Enuff

You know what? It’s tough. It really is. As I made my way around Maxi tonight, filling up my grocery cart with necessities of life (varieties of food), that’s all I could think of. Bagging my groceries after dishing out over $100 in less than 20 minutes, all I could think of was: this is tough.

You know how it is. Some days just seem like a real struggle to get through. And then I get home and there’s a voicemail message from someone who wants something from me by tomorrow and yet she could just as easily have told me this bit of information on MONDAY when she called and left me a voicemail message at work… AT 10:30PM!!!!!

On the bright side, I got Chantale’s last postcard today from New Zealand 🙂 On an even brighter side, she should hopefully be coming home tomorrow. [fingers crossed] that she’s able to get on the plane home from Vancouver…

It’s Snowing!!!

Yay! It’s finally -7C!!! After yesterday’s brutal -22C, it warmed up enough to actually snow! Fluffy Flakes! 🙂

I’m bloody exhausted this morning. Not because I spoke with Chantale at 1:45am (that was really nice, though… she’s home tomorrow night!!!!!!!!), but rather because the 6:30am alarm just caught me off gaurd.

I’m having a large cup of French Vanilla coffee from Tim Horton’s… Mmmmmm… 🙂 I wonder if I can get myself one of those machines for my house 🙂

Today is gonna fly. I’m just hoping I won’t be so tired during my first Loma 290 course that I pass out… 🙂

Meetup Thoughts

Thanks , , and for tonight’s Meetup. After the day I went through, I really needed it.

Next time, though, change of venue. I reeked of smoke when I got out of that place! All the way home I couldn’t wait to jump in the tub and scrub myself clean of it!!! Sheesh.

All warm and toasty now, which is perfect because I’m desperately in need of sleep…
