I feel like I’m not really here. Don’t ask. I’m pretty much “everywhere” right now. Been running around all jittery and nervous and bug-eyed ever since Saturday. Fallen into deep sleeps which only last a couple of hours, and then it’s hours of looking at the clock. I feel like I’m on a complete adrenaline rush and can’t always stop my hands from shaking. You would almost think that I’m waiting to find out if Chantale is pregnant or something. But she isn’t, and it isn’t that. Trust me, when THAT day arrives, I’ll be spreading that news high and wide 🙂

bla bla bla…

s’funny. i feel like there was something i wanted to say. really. my days have been so jam packed these days that i feel as though i’m permanently stuck in the linda-blair-exorcist-head-spinning mode. insane.

oh yeah. i watched From Dusk Till Dawn tonight 🙂 Or rather, I finished watching it. Chantale really doesn’t like horror or extremely violent films. I, of course, love them 🙂 So, she watched a bit of the movie with me a few nights ago, but that was shortly before everything kicks into high-gear at the Titty Twister. I stopped the movie and told her that was it. The rest was gore 🙂 well, tonight she had a work function and thus i was home alone for a few hours. I took the opportunity to have supper in front of the tube, enjoying all the killing, gore, and violence 🙂 George Clooney kicks major ass 🙂

there’s something somewhat bizarre to spend my evening watching something that violent and then when it finished, come over to my system and work on finishing the church newsletter for publication delivery tomorrow 🙂 can i possibly be a head case? gasp! 🙂

what can I say? violence unleashes a rush of emotion in me which seems to help me write. bizarre indeed 🙂

Shouldn’t it be a better day since it’s Friday??

Things pissing me off today:

– too much to do, not enough time to do it in.
– having to repeat myself
– feeling time-pressured
– busker wrecking Beatles songs at Atwater Metro
– really bad buskers destroying classic rock songs at Guy Metro
– bloody cold weather and snow in Spring
– losing an hour’s sleep by having to ‘spring forward’ this weekend
– being let down
– having to repeat myself
– headaches

(grin)

It’s late. Again. I’ve been on the computer every night this week so far. Chantale’s been sitting right next to me on HER computer as well. We’ve both been sitting here working and playing on our computers. I don’t know if we’ve ever done this before but I must admit it’s been nice 🙂

I’ve been working on getting my system functional with new speakers and tweaking software/hardware components. I’ve also been playing with MusicMatch Jukebox and MP3s. Tonight, I finally got the Microphone’s working well. You do know what this means, right? Right. CSAV Radio, the Electronic and Digital edition 🙂

Chantale’s been unwinding playing SimCity. I’ve never played it, but I have been enjoying her build her cities 🙂

The only problem with all this is……. 1am bedtimes make 6:30am wake-ups VERY difficult… 🙂

Peace Out!

Sci-Fi Fan Art Link

Really, just a note to me, however others may enjoy taking a walk through this site. It contains some really good fan and semi-pro artwork. Just came across it by accident and really glad I did! I saw a lot of nice ‘furry’ stuff there. , there was also a slew of brilliant dragon pics!

I enjoyed looking through Jennie Seay’s stuff.

Definitely will be back for more browsing!

Life, the Universe, and Moving…

This has been quite a Spiritual and Familial learning weekend. I spent some time talking with my parents about their fathers and learnt some interesting things. I asked my dad about his father (for whom I’m named after) and he told me that he used to love reading comics, too. He was a heavy smoker who passed away in 1973 from health-related issues. (I always believed he wasn’t alive when I was born) He was a Prisoner of War in the UK for 6 years, which explains why I used to believe that he actually died in the War. There are no remaining artifacts or memorobilia from his time in the war/army. As my dad explained, they were either sold off (his pistol, for example) or re-used (his clothing). I saw a couple of photographs of him and I can easily see my dad’s features in his face. I also found out he worked for the courts after the war and was the one who would write up the documentation regarding bankruptcy notices and IOUs. I’m sure I’ll have more questions to ask next time. My mother’s father, I still have memories of. He died in 1978 and I had seen him at least 3 times so I was old enough to remember. I never knew his name, though, and found that out: Francesco. He probably had middle names and I’ll ask my mom about them next time 🙂

In terms of other family stuff, it was my mom’s birthday on Saturday. We had a small celebration, really, but we did get her a gift which she really liked. We went over last night and shared some cake and discussion (which is where I pulled out the old family albums and began the family discussions 🙂 )

Chantale, the kids, and I also spent about 4 hours driving around on Sunday visiting houses. We went through Vaudreil-sur-le-lac, Dorion, Ile Perrot, and Notre-Dame-de-l’Ile Perrot. Saw 6 houses and it was exhausting! But, it’s also quite exciting (while being somewhat scary at the same time 🙂 ) Our house is out there. We just have to find it 🙂

All in all, a pretty nice weekend with the kids on a journey of self-and-family discoveries. Something we’ll be thinking about for many years to come…
