I don’t get it. Everything I’ve read around in regards to Google Mail (or GMAIL) speaks about how your privacy is totally destoryed by using it. The freakiest thing is the comment that your mail is still retained by Google, even after you delete your account!

I don’t know why I kept being preventing from coming in this morning, but it’s a little bizarre!!
First off, I wake up this morning wondering just what time it is considering it’s pretty bright in the room. I check my watch and see it’s 6:30am and I jump out of bed. Why didn’t the alarm ring? I verify and sure enough it’s set to 6:20am BUT it was OFF and alarm2 (set at 10:30am) was ON! Eee!
Quickly get ready and dash off, making good time on the drive. As I get off the highway, I see the earlier train (7:07am) and realize I can probably make it! Unfortunately, as I get on the side road, I see construction and need to detour a little. Long enough to miss that train. Ok, whatever. Park the car and go sit outside to wait for the next one (due at 7:30)
It’s chilly enough and the train arrives as I seriously start to shiver. I get a seat and continue reading my Archie digest (a fun thing I started doing a few weeks ago 🙂 ). We get to Vendome (the second to last stop) and once the stop is made… the train STAYS stopped. Voice announces that everyone’s gotta get out. Sheesh.
Get out and trudge through the crowd to try to get into the metro. My pass doesn’t work on the first turnstile I try. Neither on the second. As I make my way to the third, I finally hear the guy waving folks through telling them not to bother with the passes that the turnstiles were unlocked. (As I tried to get through, of course, I kept locking it!). When I finally make my way downstairs, I look at my pass as I put it away… and realize the reason my pass didn’t work was that it was my AUGUST pass. Oy.
Luckily the rest of the trip to work didn’t have all these bumps because at this rate, I’m ready to just turn around and go back home to bed.
Chantale and I had an AMAZING 1st Year Wedding Anniversary the last couple of days as we enjoyed a couple of hours of great massages and spas followed by an incredible stay at Lake Carling where we took advantage of a Romantic Getaway package. Beautiful place, and food that was so incredibly mouth-watering that I’m still craving it now!! 🙂
We have never enjoyed 2 days as much as these last two! Almost too much went on to write all about it!! Unfortunately, I don’t even have the time to say more than this as I’ve got way too much to do/catch up on here at work! Aiee!
(and speaking of Anniversary, Happy belated 10th to Lee and Laura!! 🙂 I wasn’t in town but I did toast you!)
I don’t know why, but I’m feeling very jumpy and jittery today. It’s quite a relief from the extremely FOUL mood/day I had yesterday but it’s also a little annoying.
I’m like a caged beast just raring to jump out and run blindly, madly, throughout the throngs. And yet… I haven’t really o.d.’eed on caffeine.

You know what I realized this morning? I’m looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday and Sunday. 🙂 Normally, this is not the case. This time, however, it is. Things are going well with getting material for Comicopia’s 14th Anniversary issue and I should be getting my hands on the front cover tomorrow (I already have the inside-front, inside-back, and back).
So, yeah, it’ll be nice to relax at home again enjoying the Olympics and putting on the occassional DVD series or reading some books (have you seen that FLIGHT’s first issue has come out? Beautiful!)
Now I just have to find someone who’ll happily (freely) take my X-Files Season 1 and Babylon 5 Season 1 VCR tapes off my hand since they’re just taking up shelf space (it’s still incredible to be able to replace something like 3 feet of video tapes with a 4 inch DVD…)
And on another note…. Chantale went for an interview today for what seems to be a really big and challenging job! She’ll only get more information within a few weeks but she’s got a lot of “insiders” helping to put in good words… So here’s hoping!
