Food Food Food!

Holidays aren’t as much a time for gifts as they are for FOOD! πŸ™‚ Seems that I’ve done quite a bit of eating these last two weeks πŸ™‚ Can’t believe how stuffed I was – especially this past weekend! πŸ™‚

Here’s a quick recap:

Dec 24th: we had a very light supper as we spent the evening at my in-laws where there was plenty of food.

Dec 25th: my in-laws came over and we ate Tortiere

Dec 26th: We went to my in-laws since Chantale’s aunt, uncle, & cousins were also coming. More food!

Dec 27th: We went to my Best Man’s place for supper. More food and wine! πŸ™‚

Dec 28th: We went to a good friend’s place for supper. Pineapple Popcorn Chicken with lots of other goodies – including an amazing crepe cream cake!

Dec 30th: We had fondue at home, introducing Kyle and Charlize to this fun family activity πŸ™‚

Dec 31st: We had our traditional at-home supper. This year, we introduced Kyle and Charlize to Coquille St. Jacques. Kyle absolutely loved it! πŸ™‚ Afterwards, the evening was spent going through plenty of hors d’ouevres and finger foods with my in-laws who came over to ring in the new year.

Jan 1st: My in-laws again came over – bringing TURKEY. My sister-in-law and her husband also came.

Jan 2nd: We introduced our close friend (and her boyfriend) to Racelette πŸ™‚ Mmmm!

Jan 3rd: Was an entire day spent on post-holiday clean-up! Take down the tree and decorations, clean up all the dishes and the house, I lost count of the number of loads of laundry I washed and put away! Finally, we had an early supper and finished off the remaining food for the Raclette – again introducing Kyle and Charlize to another fun, family, eating activity πŸ™‚

The Holidays – A Time for EATING! πŸ™‚

Hope you all had the kind of holiday you wished for! Here’s to a fantastic 2010! πŸ™‚
