I realized yesterday that I am so wrapped up in the numerous projects that I love that I don’t really have a “free” moment. Seriously, that’s a little twisted. I’m free to pick and choose what I work on and I realize there is both SO much to choose from, and SO much I want to do that I literally have little to no time to do NOTHING.
Crazy, eh? I love all this but am definitely looking forward to a vacation!
All this came to head with a forgotten deadline that I have for Wednesday which means a review of over 200 pages of material with only a couple of hours a night! On top of Comicopia #107’s deadline in 2 weeks for which I still have a ton of tasks to do! On top of the planning of schedules for the next volley of books.
all this, of course, not counting the 11 projects I’m managing at the day-job…
And you know what else I realized today?? I have to get in another shipment of books soon because even though I prepared for more than double what the pre-orders were… I’m dangerously short! I was reminded of this fact when I made an unexpected sale while chatting someone up. He looked over the book, read the back, was a little worried about a “wrong” word, laughed in relief when I pointed out that it’s a Superhero Parody so those kinds of things just work better, and then continued to laugh out loud as he read about the Minute-Men and their powers 🙂 Let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like having someone enjoying your work while you’re standing right there! 🙂
By the way, for those of you who know Paul (Astro Books) the word is that he’s doing much better. He’s out of the Hospital and is now in Rehab where he’s re-learning his body. So, he’s slowly recovering from his stroke. He doesn’t know about Rory yet, though.
Gotta run. Talk later.
