The New Floodgates of the Mind

Too much weirdness.

Yesterday Montreal’s oldest and youngest stars were snuffed. What with the passing of Grand Antonio and the car-crash/death of Caillou. I remember Grand Antonio as he was often hired to perform at my local Italian church during parades and such. I saw him pull a bus full of people and gulp down two dozen raw eggs 🙂 Caillou, or rather, the 17-year old girl who provided his english voice, went head-on with another car yesterday morning. She and another 17 year old quebec star were killed.

This morning, my mother calls to tell me she had a nightmare in which I told her I was becoming a priest and she begged me not to. She was so agitated by her dream that she kept trashing about until my dad woke her up. Weird and funny.

And at work today, an employee, only 26 years old, passed away while working out at her gym (not the Standard Life gym, one in which she was signed-up to). Wow.

There’ve been a lot of such strange deaths recently, not the least of which has been my brother-in-law’s mother on thursday. There are others but I’ll say no more.

Life. You just have to appreciate every moment. Truly appreciate every moment. It can go by so quickly.

Honestly, being back at work and running through the grind of getting a zillion things done in less-than-a-zillion minutes makes me wonder why I’m back 🙂 Not that I’ve lost my “glow” from the amazing, spectacular, incredible, heart-warming, loving, beautiful, (just how many positive adjectives can I throw in here!) Wedding. 🙂

Comicopians, you will get to read the entire liturgy and speeches as I will include them in next issue. Non-Comicopians who are interested in reading the liturgy… I’d be happy to provide you a copy 🙂

Last night’s Church Rehearsal went really well 🙂 It’s going to be a really fun ceremony! 🙂

This morning, 6 hours on the road from all the travelling we did, getting food, dropping off food at the church and at the reception, picking up kids, dropping off mom, getting last minute stuff, etc etc. Pretty insane and crazy.

The family supper tonight (of something like 45!!!) was really nice as well. But, the long day was beginning to take its toll and it’s really nice to be home now. Yes, it’s almost 11pm but I’m pretty wiped out and only want to crawl into bed. I’m physically exhausted and mentally drained. I need to get as much rest as possible as tomorrow is THE day!! 🙂

Chantale and I are feeling really special and it’s absolutely wonderful to have so many loving people around us 🙂 We had a house full of people this afternoon as cousins/ uncles/ etc came over for a quick visit before supper.

So much has happened that I can barely keep it straight in my head as I’m feeling way too dizzy from fatigue. Almost like I’m “battle-wiped” 🙂

I’m gonna head to bed now. Who knows when the next update will be. More than likely, only in a week from now 🙂 I’m sure you’ll all understand 🙂

Interesting stuff…

I can’t believe I’m functioning!

James and I got our Tuxes last night. His was fine, mine was 3 inches too short! LOL!! I got it fixed and then headed out to Wal-Mart to pick up 12 disposable cameras. We had supper and then I brought him back. I went home and cleaned up a little, returning something like 6 calls. I realized I had AGAIN forgotten to buy toilet paper so I headed off to the local IGA to return all our cans/bottles, and pick up some TP, Sangrila, Nachos, and sauce 🙂 Headed home, put on DOGMA and lay back and enjoyed it.

Went to bed at midnight but was too wound up to sleep. …Must have been the B-52 shots I kept pouring myself throughout the movie… 🙂 … Chantale got home from her stag-ette at 1am, boozy breath and all 🙂 She giggled and chatted till about 2am at which point she. just. passed. out. So, I was left the only one awake in the house. Her sister and friend of the family were passed out in the guest room 🙂 Eventually I drifted off but was wide awake at 5am. Bloody hell. Got up at 6, dressed quickly, grabbed my stuff and left at 6:30am. I actually had to run from the parking lot to catch the Train, jumping over the tracks while the warning bells were clanging. Ack.

But, got downtown at 7:30am and headed off to the gym here at Standard Life 🙂 A brief but intensive workout later, and I was in the shower, happily washing off the sweat 🙂 Got in to work at 8:30am and now I’ve got boundless energy which is coming from I don’t know where. 3 hours of sleep. Oh it’s going to be a lovely day. Smirnoff Ice at Winnie’s for lunch sounds really good right now… 🙂

I just finished watching Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard and for so long!! To date, I have loved everything I’ve seen and read from Kevin Smith, from Chasing Amy (which I loved) through Dogma (which cracked me up). But J&SBSB had me ROTFLMAO!!!!

With all that laughter, my stress levels dropped down to almost nothing 🙂 And I loved all the cameos 🙂

Ahhh….. happy breath… Nothing cures what ails ya like laughter 🙂

t-minus 5 days… 🙂

NUTSO! That’s how I’m sometimes feeling! BUT… we’re getting there. Even the small details are now pretty much under control. Have the Liturgy layout perfected. Now just minor fixes in what goes into it otherwise, it’s: Master Copy and then Mass Production! 🙂

Honeymoon/ Time Away after the Wedding: finalized! 🙂 We’re staying 2 nights at the Auberge where we’re getting married. Then, it’s off to Quebec City to stay 2 nights at another Auberge (Chateau Bonne Entente). After that, it’s two more nights at a Bed & Breakfast (Le Chateau Blanc). Then… it depends but I have ideas 🙂

I’m going insane. And now I must be going as the day is kind of over. Going home and doing more work… like my speech 🙂

The company I used to work for (DPM) which was bought out by Assante, has now, in turn, been bought out by CI Mutual Funds. Interesting development. But not altogether unexpected. I met Marty Weinberg. I knew him instantly. He had a plan. and voila.

Indy weekend in Montreal. Crescent street is closed again and fancy cars line the streets. Muchmusiqe is there and yesterday I heard a band warming up. Whoever they were, the woman had an amazing vocal range. If I wasn’t in a rush, I would have stayed and listened more.

Vodka Ice beckons. Almost went yesterday, today… the day before. Maybe monday 🙂 Last night I picked up Chantale and we headed home where we made an amazingly tasty Deliciouso pizza and washed it down with a Sangrilia Tornado. Mmmm. Early night, though, as we were both quite tired.

It’s 2:15pm and my brain is somewhere on the left of Jupiter. I’m somewhat the opposite of this morning in that I’m feeling somewhat fuzzy 🙂

I think I’m just rambling. I’ll go see if I can get my head re-attached…

I’m feeling jumpy and edgy today. And it’s not from lack of sleep. And it’s not from coffee. I’m just feeling way too attuned to emotions going on around me. To the point where I sometimes feel like I’m stuck in a rubber room the size of a small closet and am just bouncing from one wall to the other. oy.

One Week Left.

Wow.

Nervous? I can’t really say. I can tell you that my brain is going a mile-a-minute and there are moments during the day (like NOW) where I’m trembling so much I feel like I’m on speed… or at the very least 10 cups of coffee. Woah. I haven’t felt this jittery since I took too many Wake-Up tablets back at DPM… heh.

I know I had more to say. In fact, I’m positive I had something intelligent to say. Sadly, my fingers just ran away with my brain… in opposite directions… and now I’m confused.
