Going Bonkers

Need I even mention that I didn’t sleep much last night? I had to keep getting up every couple of hours to give Melyssa her Ventolin. Of course, this morning, they were empty. I needed new ones at any rate since she needed something stronger, but they worked in a pinch. Problem? She was up at 7am and I had no idea that all stores were opening at 10am. I ran from pharmacy to pharmacy looking for one that opened at 8 and then at 9. Blah. She’s medicated now and doing better. Have to keep pumping her with the new medication every 3 hours for today and then back to every 4 to 6 hours for the following 2 days.

You know. This was not the first holiday season that I spent in the hospital with her.

I’ll tell you something. Worrying about the kids and having to take care of them so much really does leave me too exhausted to feel bad about missing Chantale. Even though the kids ask about her all the time (right now, Melyssa’s playing a Travel kind of game where kids can learn about the world. She’s currently visiting Australia “where Tally is!” to which James immediately corrects, “she didn’t stay there, she went on to New Zealand!” (grin)

Okay, back to cleaning. Got tons of laundry to put away. And it’s almost been 24 hours since I put any food in my stomache. But that won’t last. I’m actually getting hungry 🙂
