Tuesday!

I’m in the mood to post, but don’t have my source material right now. Thus, I must post again later. Lucky you. 🙂

Read the funniest piece (in a sad way) about Sunday night’s Oscars. This was from scribe-extraordinaire John Ostrander: “The show felt disconnected, rushed, and — oddly enough — at the same time tedious. It needs a make-over. Get the Fab Five from Queer Eye over here. Let Thom design the set, let Jai work the nominees about what they’ll say, let Kyan and Carson do the red carpet bullshit (as a montage — and let them say what they will) and let Ted. . .do something.”

Now THAT’s funny 🙂 And I felt the same way about the weirdness of the “standing line” for nominations, and the winners who weren’t allowed on stage. Just… wrong. That show definitely needs a make-over, extreme style. Hm. Maybe they should get the folks from Extreme House Make-Over in and make a jungle gym set of the stage or something… or, seriously, let the emcees go wild on stage. Shit, man, Chris Rock seemed neutered (except for that joke about next year having drive-thru awards)

In other news… Comicopia 88 sold out. No copies left except for the master. I actually have requests I can’t fill. Cool. And on top of that, it looks like a new member will be joining us next issue (after only having seen a sample copy of issue 75). Even better news 🙂

Ok, now back to working with Melyssa on her Reading Comprehension workbook…
