Funny Morning…

How funny is it to be sitting on the train, working on Comicopia to such a degree that I don’t really notice other commuters who get on or off. A little while later, I notice someone sat next to me, hunched over her artist case, working frantically on storyboards. I raise an eyebrow and smile. I’ve gotten so used to seeing friends and other professionals working on their craft that this doesn’t faze me. I catch the word “Andy” on the script and recognize it. I’m thinking to myself that I should ask a friend about it later and turn back to my own work.

As we get closer to the end of the line, I finally close the Apa and my notes and realize the woman is none other than . Sheesh. She finally spots me as she’s getting off the train and asks why I didn’t say anything! I have to laugh. Artist and Writer, so engrossed in what they’re doing they don’t notice anything else around them… except for the cute baby sitting on its mother’s lap between us, reading an oriental children’s book 🙂

In other news, you can catch my quote in today’s Gazette or on page 2 of the on-line article: Garneau Gets Dose of Earthly Reality 🙂
