I want to thank everyone who took the time to reply to my last post and let me know just how/ when they read this LJ. It does help me understand your reading habits. At least this way I know I’m not just a figment of my own imagination, much less of yours. 🙂
I know I had something else to report, but things have been “insane” the last couple of days now. Perhaps tomorrow.
I did want to state that I managed to luck into a really gorgeous tree this year. It looked nice at the lot, but when I brought it home I realized it was a monster at 7 feet high. In fact, even the new stand we had just purchased wasn’t strong enough to hold it! I had to rush out to Rona and pick up a big sturdy one 🙂 It has a wonderful mix of “fun” ornaments (like disney and sesame street characters) with “nice” ornaments (christmas-related themes) and “traditional” ornaments (like straw-based stars, etc) along with two shades of red for the balls. All surrounded in white lights with an angel on top wearing a “father christmas” outfit. Seriously, it’s gorgeous to look at. I know I took a few pics so I should be able to upload them once they’ve been downloaded to the computer.
Last night, sitting in the dark with just the tree lights on, rocking Kyle in my lap as we watched the twinkling… it was just so peaceful and calming. At one point, when we moved to the couch, Kyle kept staring up at it and then had himself a little conversation with the Angel 🙂 Ever since he got his first tooth (that’s right, for those of you who don’t know, he got his first tooth on Saturday! Not even 4 1/2 months old yet! What an overachiever 🙂 ) he’s been in a great mood. Adam, Karine, at least now I understand what happened last Wednesday night…
