Alright, labour is boring and long, especially with an epidural so I spent some time writing on Mike's blackberry. I don't look so tired either, probably because when I wasn't online, I was sleeping my way to 10cm!
After waiting 9 months and all the hard work, Mommy finally meets Kyle for the first time...I think it was love at first sight for both of them.
Our first official family portrait, 10 minutes after birth and we couldn't be happier and more in love.
After hours of continuous breastfeeding, 3 days without any sleep, and at 2am with Kyle howling with hunger, we made a difficult but necessary parental decision of giving him a supplement. We were adamant that he should not be given a bottle, and thankfully the fantastic nurse gave us the option of feeding him through a cup. This ot only gave Daddy a rare opportunity to feed his newborn, but also some sleep since after 55ml he slept for 3 hours.
Finally within hours of being released, Kyle gets his first bath from the best nurse in the world. Have to really wash that hair, which we thought until that point was a dark reddish brown - turns out he has fair hair, light brown almost blond!
